DJ Icey Supports “The Jawn”
There are certain moments as an artist that just hit differently, and this is definitely one of them.
I recently found out that DJ Icey supported “The JAWN (XCENTRiC & Chanel XCENTRiC Rework Part 1)” in his Automatic Static Hot Summer 2026 mix, and seeing our track sitting in that tracklist honestly means a lot to me.
If you know electronic music, especially breaks, you know the name DJ Icey. He’s been an important part of Florida’s breakbeat culture for decades, so having something Chanel and I created make its way into one of his sets is pretty damn cool.
What makes it even better is that “The Jawn” was made for exactly this environment.
We wanted something raw, fun and unapologetically built for the dance floor. Heavy breaks, bass, hip-hop attitude and the kind of energy that makes you want to turn the system up a little louder than you probably should.
Seeing DJ Icey pick it up and work it into a mix alongside records from artists like John Summit, CamelPhat, Hugel, The Chemical Brothers, Harvard Bass and others is one of those reminders that you never really know where a record is going to travel once you put it out into the world.
You create something in the studio, release it, and hope it connects.
Then one day you see a DJ who has helped shape the culture playing it.
That means something.
Huge respect and thank you to DJ Icey for supporting the record.
And of course, I have to give love to Chanel XCENTRiC for creating this one with me.
The Jawn keeps moving. 🔊
