THE JAWN PART 2: TAKING IT SOMEWHERE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Two versions. One record. A completely new direction.
On September 21, 2026, I'm releasing Jerri., XCENTRiC – The JAWN (Rework Part 2) through XCENTRiC RECORDS®.
After everything that happened with Part 1, I knew that if I came back with a Part 2, I didn't want to simply make another version of the same record.
I wanted to completely rebuild it.
For Part 2, I took Jerri.'s unmistakable vocal and built an entirely new production around it at 132 BPM in F Minor. New drums, new percussion, a different groove, heavier low end and a much stronger Miami Bass and Breaks influence.
The vocal connects the two records, but almost everything happening underneath it has changed.
Part 2 is faster. It's heavier. It's more aggressive. And it represents where my sound has naturally been heading.
WHAT PART 1 STARTED
The JAWN (Extended Rework Part 1) became a much bigger record for me than I originally expected.
It climbed all the way to #3 on Beatport's Electronica Top 100, and more recently the record found its way into Beatport's Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass category.
That second part is especially interesting to me.
I've been spending more and more time exploring the space between Breaks, Miami Bass, Garage, House and hip-hop-influenced club music. That's been happening naturally in the studio, and seeing The JAWN connect with the Breaks side of Beatport has made me even more interested in continuing to develop that sound.
Part 2 was already moving in that direction.
I didn't want to recreate what worked with Part 1. I wanted to see what would happen if I took the identity of The JAWNand pushed it deeper into the sound I've been developing.
Part 2 is the result.
TWO VERSIONS OF PART 2
I'm releasing Part 2 in two different versions.
The JAWN (Rework Part 2) is the original arrangement and will be available across streaming platforms beginning September 21.

I also created The JAWN (Rework Part 2 DJ Intro/Outro Edit) specifically for DJs, with extended sections at the beginning and end of the record designed to make it easier to mix into club sets and longer transitions.
The DJ Intro/Outro Edit will be available to purchase through Beatport beginning September 21.
But I also wanted to give listeners and DJs another option.

WHERE XCENTRiC GOES FROM HERE
This might be the part of Part 2 that I'm most excited about.
For me, The JAWN has become more than one successful rework. It's helping me understand something about where I want to take the XCENTRiC sound next.
Broken rhythms. Miami low end. Garage movement. Hip-hop attitude. Heavy drums. Records built first and foremost for the dance floor.
It's a combination that feels natural to me, and I've already been spending more time in the studio developing it.
I also have more original music finished that continues exploring this direction, so Part 2 isn't the end of this sound.
It's another step into it.
Part 1 opened a door I wasn't necessarily expecting. Now I'm interested in seeing how far I can push through it while continuing to develop something that sounds unmistakably XCENTRiC.
And with Part 2, we're just getting started.
