What I’m Doing With “What You Got”

Over the past year, I’ve been watching something crazy happen with “What You Got.”

What started as just another idea in the studio turned into a record people are actually connecting with — on dance floors, in different cities, all over the world.

And it hasn’t slowed down.

So instead of moving on from it… I went back in.

Right now I’m working on a VIP Club Edit of the track.

Not a remix — I’m keeping the structure the same. The same builds, the same drops, the same identity that made it hit in the first place.

But everything around it is being elevated.

The low-end is getting more weight.The percussion and hats are being reworked with a different kind of movement.It hits different… but you still recognize it immediately.

And I’m introducing something new into it — a melody inspired by that early transition of hip hop into electronic sound. Something with history behind it, flipped into my world.
